Hypnosis
Is a natural state of every one of us. We have all experienced being in a
state of “trance” at some points in our lives. For example when
we read a book and we concentrate on the message we begin to feel and live
the story within in such a way that we are separated from what is around us
and we enter into a world that contains sensations and images that are real
for us. For a person on the outside we are simply reading and many times if
someone outside is calling for our attention, this external stimulation will
go unnoticed.
Being in love or driving a vehicle are both different levels of consciousness
that are consider forms of “trance”.
Hypnotherapy is the use of clinical hypnosis in different clinical situations,
this can vary from physical problems to emotional even mental.
Hypnosis has been approved as a complement in medicine by The British Medical
Association in 1955 and since 1958 by the American Medical Association.
